An Autonomous Uber Claimed its First Pedestrian Victim, but Don't Expect Washington to Care

We all knew it was coming: The first pedestrian in America struck and killed by an autonomous car. She won't be the last. The death of 49-year-old Elaine Herzberg, who died after being hit by a self-driving Uber vehicle in Arizona, is still no reason to overreact and demonize this budding technology.
